Played a fairly decisive game of Tichu at lunch. I seem to have a keen ability to tweak one of the players. I defeated his partner's grand call with my timely 3-bomb. Last week, I had a tichu hand of impossibly bad proportions: 9 high. So how did a 9 high hand find itself deciding whether it wanted to go out first?! While the air reached a pleasant 45 or so yesterday, the precipitation changed in the evening to snow. I scoffed thinking it too warm to stick. While there were no notable hands, it was the aggregate which leads me to write this post. After some 45min of playing tichu (8 hands or so), the departing score was in the neighborhood of 1000+ to 0. There were at least 3 made tichus in my partnership, including a 1-2.
